Environmental Protection and Land Reclamation Works

In the Radar Base in Kürecik town of Malatya city, disposal and drilling of fueled earth was performed. About 300 m3 of fueled soil has been delivered to certified disposal facilities by special certified trucks. Also, in order to determine how deep were the leaks, 10 each drilling has been performed in every 50 cm, and the samples have been sent to special laboratories in İstanbul which are authorized by the Ministry of Environment. Despite the extraordinary security precautions in the field and working conditions, the project has been completed without any problems about 1.5 months before the targeted date.
